When can I see Tuscan Hall?
We encourage you to come by and visit before you make your decision. Since Tuscan Hall is highly secured when not in use, you'll need to make an appointment for a tour. A staff member will be happy to meet you and answer any questions.
How close is Tuscan Hall to Chapel Dulcinea?
Tuscan Hall is within walking distance (about 200 yards) of Austin's famous free wedding chapel. Even though the properties are owned separately, the Tuscan Hall parking lot is commonly used for overflow parking when Chapel Dulcinea has more visitors than her parking lot can accomodate.
What is included in the rental fee?
We have tables and chairs available at no extra charge should you choose to use them. We also have a non-cooking kitchen on the premises that is available for you to use. Linens, catering services, set-up/clean-up are NOT included in your rental fee. However, there are many rental suppliers who will be more than happy to rent to you.
Does Tuscan Hall have a dance floor?
Tuscan Hall is a large, open conference hall. It can be used for many purposes. You may choose to set up the food tables on the outdoor patios and dance indoors or dine inside. There are many different possibilities.
Is there a smoking area at Tuscan Hall?
Smoking is NOT allowed inside Tuscan Hall but there is a designated smoking area outside.
How many people can Tuscan Hall accommodate?
Seated inside: up to 100 comfortably – 120 squeezed
Mixed standing/seating inside: 150 comfortably – 200 squeezed
Mixed inside plus outdoor patios: 250 Maximum
Can we serve alcohol at Tuscan Hall?
Yes, but due to Texas liability laws, we require a licensed bartender to serve the alcoholic drinks. We must receive a copy of the bartender's license at least two weeks prior to your event or no alcohol will be allowed on site. You are responsible for the behavior of your guests and will be asked to remove anyone that management deems to be obviously drunk.
How large is Tuscan Hall?
Tuscan Hall is 2450 square feet inside. The main floor is 48' by 62'. The outdoor patios cover 3000 square feet with more tables and chairs in the garden area.
Where are the bathrooms?
The bathrooms are located on the patio to the right of the main entrance.
Can we hang things on the balcony, walls, or ceiling?
No, the balcony and walls are already decorated with lights and we'd like to keep the hall free of obstructions.
Can we get married in the hall?
Yes.
Can we use candles?
Yes, but they must be in glass votives. Also, candles are allowed outside however they must be on the tables. It is sometimes necessary to prohibit candles during windy days.
Can we go on the catwalk?
No, due to past property damages no one is allowed on the catwalk.
When is check-in and check-out time?
A Full-day rental is 9AM till 11PM. All events must end no later than 11PM. There are NO exceptions to this policy other than New Year's Eve. The security guard is under strict orders to end all events at 11PM. This is when your guests must leave. You have until midnight to clean up and be gone.
When renting hourly: We can unlock the hall earlier than 9AM but your rental time must always include all set-up and clean-up time. In other words – what is the total amount of time that you and your set-up crew and your caterers are going to occupy the hall? We must know when you need to be in and when we can count on you being completely out if we are to manage other bookings. As with full-day rentals, all events must end no later than 11PM when renting hourly.
